WHAT IS A HAVANESE?

The Havanese is a small, intelligent, and affectionate breed, renowned for its silky coat, cheerful personality, and adaptability to family life.
As the only dog breed native to Cuba, its origins trace back to the 1600s, when ancestors of the breed are believed to have arrived from Spain as part of the Bichon family. During the Cuban Revolution in the 1950s, many Cubans fled to the United States, bringing their beloved dogs with them.
Since then, the Havanese has flourished in popularity worldwide.

Lively and outgoing by nature, the Havanese makes an ideal choice for both first-time and experienced dog owners.
